SAN DIEGO COUNTY: There is a fight for freedom and tyranny simultaneously taking place in San Diego County. Protesters went on the offensive Friday in front of the courthouse in downtown San Diego. Law enforcement was in abundance but the officers did not interfere with the hundreds of citizens practicing their constitutional rights. Parents with their children, college students, senior citizens, and business owners among others waved banners and marched demanding their liberties be respected. In Oceanside, City Councilman Christopher Rodriguez from District 2 took a bold stand and wrote a letter on May 9, encouraging business owners deemed non-essential to open back up to support their families.
However, on May 10, the County of San Diego pushed back against their citizens and political leaders who support freedom by ordering all persons to remain in their homes or place of residence, except for employees or customers traveling to and from essential businesses, reopened businesses, or essential activities or to participate in individual or family outdoor activity.
The County of San Diego’s Health Officer, Wilma Wooten stated in the order that they are following the World Health Organization's scientific evidence, “This order is issued as a result of the World Health Organization's declaration of a worldwide pandemic of COVID-19 disease, also known as novel coronavirus.”
The order continues, “This is issued based on scientific evidence regarding the most effective approaches to slow the transmission of communicable diseases generally and COVID-19 specifically, as well as best practices as currently known and available to protect vulnerable members of the public from an avoidable risk of serious illness or death resulting from exposure to COVID-19.“

The San Diego County Health Department continues to hammer away at their orders as residents grow agitated, desperate, and fed up with the growing police state. The orders state, “Although most individuals who contract COVID-19 do not become seriously ill, persons with mild symptoms and asymptomatic persons with COVID-19 may place other vulnerable members of the public- such as older adults, and those with underlying health conditions-at significant risk.”
The orders are being issued like a juggernaut to help Sheriff Bill Gore steamroll through all those who resist. San Diego residents are growing angry with Gore and many are bringing up his involvement with the 1990’s Ruby Ridge debacle. Gore was an agent in charge during the Ruby Ridge FBI assault on Randy Weaver’s family that resulted in multiple fatalities, including the death by shooting a mother holding a baby and another person shot in the back as he fled law enforcement gunfire. The government settled out of court with a $3.1 million award to Randy Weaver for the wrongful deaths of his wife and son.
Citizens in San Diego are comparing elected official Gore’s handling of Ruby Ridge with today's heavy-handedness under COVID-19.
Richard Conner in Encinitas said in reference to a protest on April 19, “Many of the deputies are patriots and we need them on our side. They behaved honorably on Sunday - no citations, totally positive. Sheriff William Gore is the problem.”
According to the county orders, healthy people are being quarantined because of those more vulnerable. Freedoms are being stripped away from healthy people.
Gore, who ordered his officers to ticket and arrest people walking on the beach in April, wanted to start evictions last week despite people not allowed to work. Gore received push back from Supervisor Nathan Fletcher and Governor Gavin Newsom which resulted in a delay of the eviction process for a few more weeks. Gore is on record tweeting, his officers will fine people up to $1000, six months in jail, and more, if they don’t comply with the Governors, take “heed” orders.
The word “heed” which Governor Newsom used in his original Executive Order does not mean mandate. Constitutional Attorney Mark Meuser who has filed nine lawsuits against the state pointed this out in a public statement made on Youtube.
Rodriguez said in his letter, “Many county sheriffs and police chiefs across our state have publicly refused to make arrests and enforce health orders that they swore an oath to serve and protect the people and to support and defend the constitution.”
Rodriguez said he holds a respect for the Oceanside City Police Chief McCoy while saying to the citizens, “I am here to support and help you reopen your business and safely get back to work. Your life, your job, and your business are all essential to the future of Oceanside.”
Meanwhile, Wooten is also now pushing for PHAB (Public Health Accreditation Board) to advance the state's efforts in the controversial contract tracing program of all citizens in the United States. COVID-19 Contact Tracing Program Checklists have been created along with plans to execute COVID-19 investigations and follow-up. Contact tracing will produce teams that will leap into action, asking a person infected with COVID-19 to give up the names of all those they came into contact with. Those people will also be tracked and asked for self-isolate. This opens up questions in the United States on privacy and unconstitutional government surveillance.
