A dad from Murrieta made international news this Halloween by transforming his son's wheelchair into a 'Star Wars' snow speeder.
Ryan Miller posted a YouTube video of his son’s costume that went viral.
News outlets like the Washington Post, Huffington Post, NBC Nightly News, Mashable and the Daily Mail from the United Kingdom blasted Miller's story around the world. Celebrities also took to twitter like, Mark Hamill, the original Luke Skywalker, Jesse Stay from Duck Dynasty, Christian Slater, Alyssa Milano and Guy Kawasaki, who wished the force be with this father-son team.
“We are both Star Wars fans. Jeremy’s favorite character for a long time was Darth Vader,” said Miller. “We knew the new Star Wars movie is coming out and I was looking around at all the cool things we could be and I showed him the snow speeder. “
With a thumbs up, Jeremey choose to leave the dark side this year and become Luke Skywalker in the Battle of Hoth.
Now that Jeremy's costume and his fight with spina bifida have gone viral, his dad hopes to turn the awareness into helping others. Jeremey couldn’t be more excited. “It’s awesome,” said Jeremy Miller.
And awesome is just one of the many words to describe the elaborate costumes Jeremy’s dad has made him over the years.
Ryan Miller wants his son and other children confined to wheelchairs to know life rolls on and having mobility can change a life.
It seems the force is now with the Miller family, who anxiously awaits the new Star Wars movie, "The Force Awakens," which will be released Dec. 18, 2015.
