A local writer, and photographer Joseph Morabito captured a Golden Torch Cactus in bloom. An avid photographer and videographer Morabito set up his camera and let it record the plant that grows in his backyard.
"I let the camera run from mid afternoon, through the night until past sun up," said Morabito who owns the blog Wildomar Rap. "I compressed it all into a 25-second video."
According to the website The Succelent Source, the Golden Torch Spachianus Trichocereus Cactus cuttings are easy to plant in a pot or planted in the ground. They grow in groups, and when broken off they will root along their length if left on the ground. These are very hardy cactus, If you plant them vertically, they’ll root quickly from their base.
