Wildomar: The citizens of Wildomar love their parks, especially the children. It seems every year there is another child in the quaint community raising funds to improve their favorite park.
On Saturday, Jan. 14 a pancake breakfast will be served at VFW Post 1508 in Wildomar. Marissa Hill from Girl Scout Troop 1122 wants to raise enough money to install water fountains for humans and pets who play in the park. Hill's fundraising goal is $5,000.
Breakfast will be served from 8am -11am.
In 2014 Ashley Fox helped raise money for the "Freedom Swing". The swing was for disabled children like Fox who were confined to wheelchairs. The Freedom Swing was installed at Marna O’Brien Park in Wildomar. City Council Member Bridgette Moore, city officials, Lake Elsinore Storm’s mascot Thunder and Fox's family and friends helped her celebrate the new swing’s unveiling.
